You guest raise many interesting points, notably about the different sizes and shapes of feet, the arches, the (potential) smell, his history... I found myself sharing his confusion as to why foot fetish is so maligned, given that it is apparently the most popular fetish and certainly quite harmless.

While I was massaging a woman many years ago, she asked me to work on her feet, and I did so (briefly). She surprised me by stating that she wished someone would spend a full hour or longer on those parts of her anatomy, and I remembered having met a foot fetishist. I put the two of them together, and for a while it was a match made in heaven! He would come over and massage her feet for around ninety minutes, after which they would have dinner together and chat into the evening. I lost touch with both of them, but from what others told me, they were together for over two years.

It was such a pleasure recording this podcast and hearing his devotion to feet! And I agree, I don't understand the intense stigma around such a harmless fetish either. Did you happen to catch the corresponding psychology of desire case file linked where I explored the neuroscience and cultural perspectives of the foot fetish? Would love your insights if so.

No. You probably posted it during one of my bad stretches (physically). Please send me the link. I'll try to catch it Wednesday or over the ensuing Thanksgiving Weekend and shall be delighted to share my thoughts!
